Job summary

Energy Company seeks a Reliability Engineer to advance CBM programs across regions, analyzing data and coaching site teams on reliability best practices.

You will lead audits, troubleshoot issues, and partner with maintenance to close out findings, with monthly travel to regional sites. Bachelor’s in engineering and 4–7 years’ experience required; ISO Vibration Analyst Cat II certification is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of maintenance/reliability experience in heavy industrial or continuous manufacturing.
• Strong experience with CBM, vibration and oil analysis, RCA, and FMEA.
• ISO Vibration Analyst Category II certification required.

Responsibilities

• Support and advance CBM programs using vibration, oil analysis, ultrasound, thermography, UT, and wireless monitoring.
• Analyze condition data, identify trends, and turn findings into maintenance and repair recommendations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow up on repairs to confirm effectiveness.
• Audit CBM routes, PMs, lubrication programs, documentation, and reliability practices.
• Partner with Maintenance and Operations teams to improve reliability and close out findings.
• Train and coach site technicians and leadership on reliability best practices.

Our client is a fast-growing, global energy company specializing in delivering sustainable wood bioenergy solutions. We are the world’s largest producer of sustainable pellets, which provide a low-carbon alternative to fossil fuels.

The Reliability Engineer is responsible for supporting and advancing reliability and Condition-Based Maintenance (CBM) programs across assigned regions. This role focuses on program execution, data analysis, coaching, auditing, and hands-on support of site maintenance and operations teams. The position serves as a technical reliability leader, bridging corporate standards and site-level execution.

What You'll Do

• Support and improve CBM programs using vibration, oil analysis, ultrasound, thermography, UT, and wireless monitoring.
• Analyze condition data, identify trends, and turn findings into clear maintenance and repair recommendations.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and follow up on repairs to confirm they were effective.
• Audit CBM routes, PMs, lubrication programs, documentation, and reliability practices.
• Partner with Maintenance and Operations teams to improve reliability and close out findings.
• Train and coach site technicians and leadership on reliability best practices.
• Support vendors, contractors, MOC activities, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Travel to regional sites monthly to provide hands-on reliability support.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 4–7 years of maintenance/reliability experience in heavy industrial or continuous manufacturing.
• Strong experience with CBM, vibration and oil analysis, RCA, and FMEA.
• ISO Vibration Analyst Category II certification required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently across multiple sites.
• Experience with CMMS/EAM systems.

Travel:

Monthly regional travel is a core part of the role.
