Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering or 5+ years engineering experience in reliability/industrial engineering.
  • 5 years of Continuous Improvement (Lean/SixSigma) in a facility context.
  • CMMS experience required; Corrigo preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license; travel to Canada preferred.
  • Lean/SixSigma certification preferred; Green Belt within 12 months.

Job Summary

We are looking for a proactive and technically skilled Reliability Engineer to support and enhance asset performance and maintenance strategies within a dynamic Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) environment. This mid-level role contributes strategically to reliability and continuous improvement efforts by applying data analytics, Lean and Six Sigma principles, and key elements of reliability engineering such as failure analysis, asset criticality assessment, and maintenance optimization.

The Reliability Engineer collaborates with operations and maintenance teams to assess asset health, analyze performance data, and recommend actionable improvements. While not responsible for enterprise-level program leadership, the role may independently lead internal account-level projects that target improved equipment reliability, reduced downtime, and enhanced facility operations. This position is ideal for an engineer looking to apply both strategic thinking and hands‑on problem solving in a collaborative, performance‑driven setting

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Reliability Metrics & Data Analysis
    • Monitor and report key reliability KPIs by analyzing asset performance data—including failure history, downtime, and work orders. Leverage CMMS and data analytics tools to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for reliability improvement
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Client Alignment
    • Collaborate with site operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to implement reliability improvements and ensure alignment with client goals
  • Reliability Leadership & Compliance
    • Lead reliability initiatives to improve equipment uptime, reduce reactive maintenance, and enhance operational performance. Support audits and compliance efforts by ensuring procedures, documentation, and data meet internal and client standards
  • Maintenance Strategy & Root Cause Analysis
    • Support maintenance strategy reviews and optimization efforts to align with industry best practices. Assist in root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurring failures. Conduct failure mode analyses and contributes to asset criticality assessments to guide maintenance priorities
  • Capital Planning & Cost Optimization
    • Support capital planning with data-driven insights on asset condition, lifecycle risk, and performance trends, applying maintenance expertise to identify cost‑saving opportunities and optimize investment decisions
  • Additional Responsibilities & Operational Support
    • Performs any other duties as deemed necessary by the Operations and CI&R leadership
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Engineering (preferably Reliability, Industrial, or a related discipline) from an accredited college or university; or 5 to 7 years of relevant engineering experience and/or specialized training in reliability or industrial engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and practical engineering experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in applying the concepts of Continuous Improvement (Lean/SixSigma) in a manufacturing facility and or commercial office maintenance environment
  • CMMS platform experience required, Corrigo preferred
  • Maintenance program experience is preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. Ability to travel to Canada (valid Passport) preferred
  • Lean/SixSigma certification is strongly preferred; Ability to achieve Green Belt certification within 12 months
  • Strong written and verbal command of the English language required
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including macros, Power Query, pivot tables, formula creation, and troubleshooting
  • Experienced with CMMS and SharePoint platforms for asset management and document collaboration
  • Familiarity with SmartSheet and the Microsoft Power Suite—including Power BI and Power Automate—is desirable
  • Ability to quickly understand and apply technical concepts
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, organization, and self‑management skills
  • Proactive and able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and manage multiple deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, demonstrating respect for coworkers, vendors, and clients
  • Customer‑focused mindset, committed to meeting internal customer expectations and resolving quality issues
  • Exceptional spelling, grammar, and proofreading abilities
Physical Demands
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk and sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk, hear, taste and smell. The employee must be able to lift and /or move up to 50 pounds. Perform work on a roof level. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus, determine full range of colors in work areas, drawings and mapping. Ability to move about commercial properties and construction sites, through tight passageways and corridors. On feet as project task requirements dictate.
  • However, most of the time, physical demands are limited to those related to sitting at a desk and using a computer, keyboard, and mouse
Work Environment
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the majority of the time the employee would be working in a standard office environment. However, the employee may also exposed to moving mechanical parts and may work in high precarious places; the employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; outdoor weather conditions; extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock and vibration. The employee may at times work in an environment where the following safety equipment are needed: steel toecap shoes, hearing protection, hardhat eye protection, and/or hair protection. Employee would need to abide by all safety guidelines including OSHA regulations, lock‑out/tag‑out, etc. Work schedule can be affected by production, downtime and many other variables. Candidates should be extremely flexible with non‑customary schedules and weekend work.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually negligible but may at times be moderate.
  • Travel is solely business‑driven; flexibility is required and all candidates should be prepared to travel on a monthly basis as part of this job. Travel may vary 10%-40% based on assigned projects
