Job summary

Graham Health System is seeking an ROI Specialist in Canton, IL to safeguard patient privacy and ensure only authorized access to medical information in compliance with HIPAA and release requests. You will engage in direct customer service and support the department’s positive image.

The role collaborates with multiple departments and reports to the Director of Health Information Management. Prior release-of-information experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in hospital Health Information Department or similar medical office setting and Electronic Health Record.
• Experience in release of information preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safeguard and protect the patient’s privacy by ensuring that only authorized individuals have access to the patient’s medical information and that all information released is in compliance with the request, authorization, policies and HIPAA statues.
• Engage in direct customer service and conduct interpersonal relationships to project a positive image of the department and Graham Health System.
• Collaborate with many departments within Graham Health System.
• Report to the Director of Health Information Management.
