Job summary

Mozilla is seeking a Release Engineer to scale our build, test, and release processes for Firefox and related products. You will collaborate with senior engineers to improve developer experience, implement improvements, and maintain the deployment pipeline across North America and Europe.

This role supports reliable software delivery and faster security fixes for millions of users. You will work within a distributed team, apply automation to reduce toil, and participate in on-call simulations

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an object-oriented language (prefer Python).
• Passionate about CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with cloud resources (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

Responsibilities

• Write software that scales - tens of thousands of tasks are run to build, test, and release Firefox every single day
• Collaborate with senior+ engineers to improve the developers’ experience, then implement the improvements.
• Work with a geographically-distributed development team between North America and Europe
• Collaborate with others by requesting and providing code reviews
• Respond to critical service outages (during normal working hours - no on call rotation is required)
