Job summary

CGS Federal is seeking a Relativity Sr. Systems Administrator to join the Legal/IT department in Chantilly, VA. The role focuses on implementing and maintaining ALS solutions, including Relativity, iPro, CaseMap, and other tools within on‑premises and AWS environments.

The candidate will manage infrastructure, access controls for external stakeholders, and system reliability, delivering documentation and weekly health reports while collaborating with IT leadership.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with UNIX, Windows, storage solutions.
  • 5+ years of experience in litigation support applications (Relativity, iPro, Concordance, Trial Director).
  • Experience designing, procuring equipment and software, installing and testing in complex environments.
  • Experience with large systems featuring a mix of OS and functions.
  • Ability to obtain a favorable Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement ALS software solutions using Relativity and other tools.
  • Maintain ALS infrastructure (storage, compute, network) on‑prem and AWS.
  • Manage external access and IAM for stakeholders.
  • Perform backups, maintenance, and monitoring of systems.
  • Produce system diagrams and administrator guides; update semi‑annually.
  • Provide weekly reports on system health, performance, and projects.

Relativity Senior Systems Administrator

We are seeking a Relativity Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team! You will handle a variety of projects to support and improve the organization’s network systems.

Skills and Attributes for Success
  • Design and implement Automated Litigation Support (ALS) software solutions primarily consisting of COTS tools such as Relativity, iPro, CaseMap, etc.
  • Maintain ALS system infrastructure (storage, compute, network) leveraging on‑premise and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Maintain external access to ALS tools including identity and access management for external stakeholders (e.g., expert witnesses, U.S. Attorneys, IRS collaborators).
  • Perform system maintenance including backups, restore operations, application and platform software updates, performance tuning, system monitoring, etc.
  • Produce and update system diagrams, administrator guides and end‑user documentation. Documentation must be updated at least semi‑annually.
  • Provide weekly reports on system health, performance, completed projects and planned activities.
  • Selectee will work with the IT leadership supporting ALS applications and infrastructure.
Qualifications
  • Undergraduate degree (preferably in computer science or management information/technology disciplines) or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of hands‑on, directly applicable experience in implementing systems such as UNIX, Windows, Network Storage Solutions, etc.
  • At least 5 years of experience in litigation support applications and software (e.g., Oracle, Relativity, iPro, Concordance, Trial Director).
  • Demonstrated experience in designing, procuring equipment and software, installing, integrating, and testing in the required environment.
  • Experience with large systems featuring a complex mix of operating systems and functions.
  • At least one year of experience setting up large‑scale database management applications using the applicable database management software.
  • Experience in storage technology planning, performance capacity planning and modeling, applications planning, human factors issues, distributed processing, and business process analysis.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the Government’s IT environments, including office automation networks and PC and server‑based databases and applications.
  • In‑depth knowledge of the Government’s security requirements.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience with Relativity.
  • Experience with SQL Server version 2012 and later.
  • Must be able to obtain a favorably adjudicated Public Trust Clearance.
