Job summary

Capital Group is seeking a Relationship Manager – RIA/BT in San Francisco to lead sales initiatives in the RIA channel. You will identify representative needs, coordinate efforts to serve them, and manage relationships with key RIAs to drive business results.

The candidate excels in portfolio construction, has broad mutual fund/ETF knowledge, and communicates effectively with senior stakeholders. Relevant certifications strengthen candidacy.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in third-party distribution and building long-term relationships.
  • Broad knowledge of mutual fund, SMA and ETF businesses and sales cultures.
  • Ability to leverage technologies to create custom analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau).
  • Excellent communicator with sales experience in the registered investment advisor space.

Responsibilities

  • Lead sales initiatives in the RIA channel and coordinate with firm representatives.
  • Identify client needs and deliver presentations to drive investor outcomes.

“I can succeed as a Relationship Manager – RIA/BT at Capital Group.” As one of our Relationship Managers, you’ll lead sales initiatives in the RIA channel, identifying firm and firm representatives’ needs and coordinate efforts to serve those needs. Your territory will sit in San Francisco. You’ll manage Capital Client Group presence, relationships, and business results with key RIA firms. You excel at delivering motivational and informative presentations. You’re motivated by setting goals and measuring your performance against them. You are a well-rounded collaborator and work skillfully with other Senior Sales Force members to identify opportunity for better investor outcomes.

“I am the person Capital Group is looking for.” You have a proven track record in third-party distribution, a broad knowledge of the mutual fund, SMA and ETF business and sales cultures, and the demonstrated ability to build long-term relationships. You have a proven track record and a deep technical knowledge of portfolio construction. You know how to leverage technologies to create custom analysis (Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, etc.). You are an excellent communicator and have significant sales experience in the registered investment advisor space. You’re well-versed in synthesizing information and presenting it in a distilled manner. You have one or more of the following designations: Series 7, 63, 66, AIF, AIFA, PPC, CIMA, and CFA.

  • In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
  • Eligibility to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program is subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
  • In addition, employees are eligible for standard benefits package including paid time off, medical, dental and retirement.

Capital Group is required by state specific laws to include the salary for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations.

The base salary for this role is $75,000 + applicable sales commissions and bonuses.

Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including, candidate experience, and skills.

Roles may also be eligible for additional compensation and/or benefits.
