Job summary

Manulife Financial is seeking a remote retirement plan specialist to build advisor relationships, lead regional growth, and optimize client retention across multiple states. The role targets mid‑sized DC/DB/NQ plans and requires licensure, designations, and FINRA registrations.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of similar experience.
  • Life insurance and variable licenses as determined for territory.
  • Industry designations such as AIF, APA, APR, ChFC, CLU, CEBS, CFA, CFP, QKA, QPA, QPFC, RIA are a plus.
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63; or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
  • Passion for contributing to a team with a positive attitude.
  • Driven by practical results, opportunities to offer new ideas and methods, play a supporting role, and opportunities to assist others with intention.
  • Superior business insight related to retirement plan products, the industry and the competitive landscape preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop strategic, mutually beneficial relationships with advisors, TPAs, plan sponsors and the JH team
  • Establish self as a retirement plan leader within the region and as a source of creative solutions for advisors
  • Maintain plan retention and contribute to profitable growth
  • Identify and position the best MJH tools/resources to support key intermediaries ongoing service commitments to plan sponsors and eligible employees
  • Work with intermediaries to ensure quality ongoing service related to plan design, investment selection, and ERISA compliance
  • Identify plans that are up for RFP, facing competitive threats, or have had issues in service quality and implement a retention strategy
  • Implement asset maximization and retention strategies that influence greater participation, increased deferral rates, and account consolidation
  • Solicit opportunities during interactions with advisors
  • Set expectations for ongoing service and serve as a point of contact
  • Conduct plan reviews and business planning meetings
  • Identify and address advisor or sponsor concerns and take corrective actions
  • Create, maintain, and implement a territory business plan that optimizes retention and revenue growth
  • Help advisors grow their book of business
  • Schedule time in accordance with annual business plan with high-value advisors to support them in achieving their goals

Job description

How will you create impact?

This position works as a key member of a regional team to achieve retirement plan retention, growth in revenue and assets through informed and loyal advisors, sponsors, and participants. The book of business is concentrated on clients between $15M and $50M in AUM (Corporate market, DC, DB, NQ). This role is "work from home" but covering Oklahoma, Arkansas, W. Tennessee, Mississippi, and Louisiana.

Required Qualifications:

Salary range is expected to be between

$122,325.00 USD - $212,030.00 USD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
