Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; 5–7 years working with UHNW clients preferred.
  • Designations CFP®, CPWA® or CPA strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CRM platforms, especially Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple workflows with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with UHNW clients and advisors.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate efforts between MD and service areas to deliver high client service standards.
  • Respond professionally to client inquiries and resolve issues.

Job description

The Relationship Manager provides excellent client experiences to ultra-high-net-worth (UHNW) individuals and families. On behalf of the client, the Relationship Manager coordinates the efforts between the Managing Director (MD) and all service areas throughout the firm and external advisors. In this role, the RM reviews client reports and analysis and assists in all planning and implementation for the client. Relationship Managers will support multiple Managing Directors located in any of Oxford’s market locations by enhancing the client experience through servicing and administrative functions including new client onboarding, account opening, account maintenance, processing cash flows, working with third-party vendors and assisting with meeting preparation for client and prospect presentations.

Oxford is hiring a Relationship Manager to be based in one of our six market locations: Chicago, Grand Rapids, Cincinnati, Minneapolis, Atlanta or Palm Beach.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Operation within the team’s client service strategy to ensure high standard of service
  • Respond professionally and provide timely resolution to client inquiries or concerns
  • Troubleshoot client issues and follow through to resolution
  • Coordinate efforts across all areas of Oxford, as needed

Prepare client reports and analysis

  • Partner with technical teams to prepare required reports and analysis
  • Gather and share necessary data and information with technical and operational teams
  • Coordinate timely and efficient completion of reports and analysis

Maintain client information

  • Assist in completing and maintaining the Client Profile Questionnaire
  • Monitor and update the CRM, Salesforce, as appropriate
  • Determine Portfolio Summary Report template and delivery
  • Review client information on an annual basis to ensure accuracy

Assign and coordinate workflow to support client needs

  • Investment Policy Statement (IPS) and Investment Allocation or Asset Allocation Summary (IAS)
  • Family Office Services (FOS) Estate flow chart and recommendations
  • Private Market Securities (Initial purchases, calls and liquidations)
  • Client-directed trade requests
  • Cash management
  • Deposits, withdrawals, journals, wires, etc.
  • Coordinates information needed for lines of credit renewals
  • Other Workflow processes as needed

Support Client Onboarding

  • Participates in onboarding meetings with the MD and internal team members to review and confirm the status of all items completed or in process
  • Owns and manages the completion of assigned onboarding checklist items
  • Coordinates client deliverables as needed as part of the agreed upon relationship with the client, obtaining signatures when necessary
  • Creates an Oxford quality experience in the transition from a prospect to a client
  • Monitors the progress of account transfers, asset location and cost basis reconciliation, among other on-boarding information

Administrative Responsibilities and Professional Development

  • Complete TimeTracker entries accurately and on time
  • Attend team and firm meetings
  • Stay current on technical developments and available resources
  • Participate in formal education and training to strengthen areas of expertise, technical skills and leadership skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field with five to seven years relevant work experience, at least three years working with UHNW clients
  • Professional designations of CFP®, CPWA® or CPA strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and CRM platforms, with specific experience in Salesforce preferred
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing multiple workflows, checklists and priorities with accuracy and efficiency
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and analyze financial data with impeccable attention to detail
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for interacting with UHNW clients, internal colleagues and external advisors
  • Strong industry expertise, including a deep understanding of personal financial planning concepts and the ability to interpret complex legal and estate documents
