Job summary

Community Financial System, Inc. (CFSI) is seeking a Relationship Banking Representative. The role combines teller and desk responsibilities to provide a consistent, customer-centric banking experience.

You will educate customers on products, assist with transactions, and guide digital banking usage in a hybrid work setting. Responsibilities include relationship management, needs-based conversations, and collaboration with branch teams to meet goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Internal product knowledge, teller, and platform training preferred.
• Ability to attend a 5–7 day initial training program, which may involve overnight travel; company covers travel expenses.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a welcoming, professional, and personalized customer experience in every interaction.
• Build trust by listening, asking questions, and understanding customers’ financial needs and goals.
• Process transactions and routine inquiries accurately while educating customers on features and tools.
• Assist customers with issues and coordinate with internal partners for timely resolutions.
• Educate customers on digital banking tools and self-service options.
• Manage customer flow and appointments with team members.
• Identify customer needs and recommend banking solutions without pressure-based selling.
• Generate follow-ups and appointment setting to strengthen relationships.
• Collaborate with branch partners to refer customers to specialists.
