Job summary

FVSBank in Wisconsin is seeking a Relationship Banker to deliver an exceptional customer experience across teller and platform responsibilities, helping clients meet their financial goals and navigate banking tools.

The role emphasizes active listening, accurate transactions, compliance, and building lasting relationships. Strong cash handling, math accuracy, and prior banking experience are valued; candidates should be able to travel to other branches if needed.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service skills with a positive, professional presence.
  • Previous banking or financial services experience required.
  • Cash handling and teller experience strongly required.
  • Solid math, computer, and data entry accuracy.
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to varying customer needs.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and handle detailed work.
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel to other branches when necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Create a welcoming, personalized experience for every customer—warm greeting, eye contact, and use of their name.
  • Provide fast, friendly, and accurate service across all teller and platform responsibilities.
  • Actively listen and uncover customer needs to ensure the right products, services, and solutions are recommended.
  • Support customers through a full range of transactions, account questions, and service requests.
  • Educate customers on the bank’s digital tools, services, and features that simplify their financial life.
  • Engage customers in meaningful conversations to understand financial goals and identify opportunities.
  • Recommend appropriate products and services that support customer needs and help grow the relationship.
  • Maintain documentation of conversations, needs identified, and solutions offered.
  • Refer customers to specialists (loans, financial services, business banking) when appropriate.
  • Perform teller functions following all bank policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Complete account openings, maintenance, and closings with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Maintain up to date product knowledge and stay informed on new offerings and enhancements.
  • Balance cash drawers daily and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Follow security procedures and support branch opening/closing routines.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards and always safeguard customer information.
  • Complete all required compliance and regulatory training on schedule.
  • Ensure all customer identification and account opening protocols (including CIP) are followed without exception.
  • Demonstrate the bank’s core values in all interactions with customers, colleagues, and community members.
  • Contribute to a positive, team oriented branch environment.
  • Support other branch locations as needed.
