Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced Reinsurance Manager in the United States. You will manage treaty and facultative reinsurance programs, oversee premium and loss reporting, and coordinate renewals with data and analyses.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to interface with underwriting, actuarial, finance, claims, and reinsurers. Ideal candidates will have 7+ years in reinsurance, a related bachelor's degree, and professional designations such as

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Insurance, Finance, Risk Management, Mathematics, or related field.
• Typically 7+ years of progressive reinsurance or insurance experience.
• CPCU, ARe, or FCAS/ASAS designations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day administration of treaty and facultative reinsurance programs.
• Oversee ceded premium and loss reporting, recoverables, settlements, and account reconciliations.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting to reinsurers, brokers, auditors, and regulatory agencies.
• Monitor reinsurance recoverables and facilitate timely collections with Claims and Finance.
• Coordinate reinsurance renewals by preparing data, financial analyses, and supporting documentation.
• Review reinsurance contracts and align operational processes with contract provisions.
• Partner with Underwriting, Actuarial, Finance, Claims, brokers, and reinsurers.
• Maintain reinsurance records and documentation in compliance with controls, accounting standards, and regulations.
• Support internal and external audits with documentation, reconciliations, and analysis.
• Prepare management reports and analyses on ceded results, recoverables, treaty activity, and operational performance.
• Improve reinsurance processes, controls, reporting, and system efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned
