Job summary

Eka Robotics is seeking a Reinforcement/Machine Learning Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and maintain large-scale model training systems that power next-generation robot learning. You will focus on developer experience, creating intuitive tooling and scalable infrastructure across experiments.

You will collaborate with researchers to ensure infrastructure scales from prototyping to production training runs, impacting research cycles and deployment speed.

Qualifications

• BS, MS or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Machine Learning or a related technical field.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals with a track record of building ML training infrastructure or scalable systems.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale training using JAX (preferred), PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Familiarity with distributed training, multi-host setups, data pipelines, and cloud/orchestration systems (Kubernetes, SLURM, GCP, AWS).
• Strong cross-functional communication, ownership mindset, and tooling for developers.
• Experience building automated testing pipelines, CI/CD for ML workflows, and custom logging/telemetry stacks.

Responsibilities

• Own Training Infrastructure: design, implement, and maintain robust systems for large-scale model training, including orchestration and experiment tracking.
• Developer Experience & Tooling: build streamlined abstractions for launching, monitoring, debugging, and reproducing experiments.
• Scale Distributed Training: work with researchers to scale RL and ML pipelines across compute clusters.
• Resource Management: ensure efficient allocation of cloud compute resources for future scaling.
• Collaborate with Researchers: translate researchers' needs into scalable infrastructure and contribute to core model/training code.
