Job summary

Blue & Co., LLC is seeking a Senior Staff Consultant to join our Healthcare Reimbursement team in Indianapolis. You will analyze patient-accounting data, validate large datasets, and deliver high-quality reimbursement consulting services to hospital clients.

You will lead projects, mentor staff, and contribute innovative solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role requires 4+ years in reimbursement analysis, strong analytical skills, and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, data analytics or related field.
• 4+ years of reimbursement analysis experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, validate, and reconcile large volumes of financial and operational data using standardized analytical tools.
• Support hospital clients by analyzing patient-accounting data, reviewing records, and delivering high-quality reimbursement consulting services.
• Manage multiple assignments and drive them to on-time completion.
• Research reimbursement regulations and identify opportunities to improve client reimbursement outcomes.
• Provide data-driven insights to inform strategic reimbursement decisions for clients.
• Build strong relationships with clients while delivering exceptional service throughout engagements.
• Collaborate with Blue's Healthcare Consulting Practice on multidisciplinary client engagements.
• Mentor staff and continue professional development to elevate the team’s capabilities.

As a Staff Consultant on our Healthcare Reimbursement team, you'll play an important role in helping healthcare providers maximize reimbursement opportunities while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

This role is ideal for someone who has mastered the fundamentals of reimbursement analysis and is ready to lead projects, mentor staff, and bring innovative solutions to complex client challenges. Position Details

Position Requirements

• We’re looking for professionals who are analytical and collaborative, with a willingness to learn within a specialized area of healthcare consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Data/Business Analytics or a related field.
• 4+ years of reimbursement analysis experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Data analytics experience in SQL, Alteryx or Python preferred.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
• Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Ability to travel to client locations as needed (primarily day travel with minimal overnight travel).
