Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a healthcare technician to support diagnostic and interventional procedures by preparing, monitoring, and maintaining patients, facilities, and equipment in a safe and timely manner. You will follow a licensed therapist's direction, assist with patient care, participate in quality improvement, and maintain skills through ongoing training and education.

Prior healthcare experience and basic English communication are preferred; BLS is required within 14 days

Qualifications

• Must communicate clearly in English in writing and speech.
• Computer literacy and ability to learn procedures.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Properly prepare patient, facility and equipment.
• Collects and records pertinent patient and procedural data.
• Utilizes equipment/instruments in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Participates in quality improvement.
• Maintains skills and knowledge through training and continuing education.
• Follows direction, under the direct supervision of a licensed therapist, to help with patient care.
• Completes assigned goals.
