Job summary

ProHealth Rehabilitation Hospital of Wisconsin is seeking a Rehab Technician to support therapy services and help patients reach goals. Responsibilities include transporting patients, following treatment directions, documenting care, and maintaining safety with lifts up to 50 lbs.

The role emphasizes teamwork, reliable communication, and adherence to procedures, with on-the-job training as needed. This is a PRN, on-site position aimed at delivering quality rehabilitation services.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 6–12 months in a rehabilitation setting preferred; on-the-job training after orientation.
• Certifications: CPR certification (as required).
• Skills: Effective verbal and written communication; ability to follow directions; patient transport and safe lifting techniques (up to 50 lbs); observation and basic documentation; reliability, teamwork, and time management.

Responsibilities

• Follows patient care tasks as determined by the OTR/RPT to help patients achieve therapy goals.
• Safely transports patients to and from therapy and other activities.
• Communicates clearly with members of the rehabilitation team.
• Observes and recognizes patient reactions to treatment; follows instructions accurately.
• Lifts and carries equipment, supplies, and materials up to 50 lbs on a regular basis; uses proper body mechanics.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
