Tuba City Regional Health Care Corporation (TCRHCC) invites applications for a Rehabilitation Support Technician to assist licensed physical and occupational therapists in outpatient care, performing pre- and post-treatment prep, patient care tasks, and clerical duties in a busy clinic.
Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED and one year of hospital or rehabilitation clinic experience; strong teamwork, communication, and customer service skills are essential.
In accordance with Navajo Nation and federal law, TCRHCC has implemented an Aff in accordance with the Navajo Preference in Employment Act. This position assists the licensed physical therapist and occupational therapist by completing a variety of outpatient medical and clinical support duties. Performs general pre- and post-treatment preparation and clean up, assists with patient care activities under the direct supervision of a physical therapist and occupational therapist. Performs inventory management and ordering, record keeping, database management, reception and clerical duties in a busy work environment, including duties listed in the Physical Rehabilitation Technician Manual. Must maintain patient confidentiality and fulfill all required competency criteria as required by the department.
Must have a High School Diploma or GED
Must have one (1) year experience in a hospital or rehabilitation clinical setting

Work and its demand vary in the amounts of sitting, standing, walking and bending. Incumbent must have ability of prolonged sitting standing, walking, bending, maintaining balance, reaching, frequent twisting, and occasional driving, climbing, kneeling, and crouching. Work will include assisting the therapists/patients with safe mobility, guarding, exercising, and transfer/positioning of patients. Involves light to heavy lifting; requires the ability to carry items such as patient charts, exercise equipment, and medical supplies. Must be able to lift, push and pull continuously up to 10lbs, frequently up to 50lbs and occasionally over 100lbs. Must have ability to manipulate clinical and non-clinical items such as belts and latches for patient safety and positioning. Must have ability of far, near, color vision, depth perception, seeing fine details, hearing normal speech, hearing overhead pages and telephone use. Must have bilateral hand manipulation of simple and firm grasping, fine manipulation and use of keyboard.
The employee independently initiates and carries out routine assignments, handles problems and deviations in the work assignments in accordance with policies and procedures. Work is periodically checked and reviewed in terms of the overall efficiency of services provided in the clinic and to patients; to ensure compliance in accordance with established priorities and procedures.
