Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Technician to join the inpatient acute care rehab team. You will assist therapists with patient care and coordinate non-clinical tasks to support the rehab team.

The role involves ADL assistance, equipment inventory, and front desk support, with emphasis on effective communication with patients, families, and other departments.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent; general knowledge of sciences and medical terminology.
• Prior healthcare or patient service experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to perform simple math.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and assists in routine treatment in the acute care setting.
• Assists with patient care tasks (ADLs) and positioning.
• Assists therapists with manipulating lines, tubes and drains.
• Performs ongoing inventory of equipment and supplies to ensure adequate stock.
• Provides general clerical and front desk support.

Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center a member of Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Rehabilitation Technician to join our mission-driven Inpatient Acute Care Rehab Team.

The Rehab Tech assists the therapists with direct patient care activities utilizing rehabilitation techniques and coordinates non-clinical activities and support functions for the Rehab team.

You Will Be Responsible For:

• Prepares and assist in routine treatment in the acute care setting
• cleaning a patient and assisting with ADL’s
• Assisting therapist with manipulating critical lines, tubes and drains for patients
• Performs ongoing inventory of equipment and materials to ensure adequate supply
• General clerical and front desk support
• Communicates with ancillary departments, clients, and family members to ensure customer satisfaction.

Minimum Requirements:

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, with general knowledge of sciences, medical terminology
• Prior healthcare or patient service preferred.
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
• Excellent Customer Service Skills and demonstrated simple math skills.
