Job summary

Yale New Haven Health's Rehabilitation Services department seeks a patient-care assistant to support therapists, prepare patients for treatment, and help maintain a clean, well-equipped clinical environment in a busy hospital setting.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and prior health care experience is preferred; BLS/CPR certification within two months of hire is expected, along with good interpersonal skills and basic data entry abilities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Experience as an aide or in health care preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification within two months of hire.
• Able to read and use metric measurements; able to operate basic office equipment and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Conforms to Hospital and Department policy & procedures and Service Excellence principles.
• Works under the direct supervision of a therapist.
• Prepares patients of all ages for treatment and assists with patient care.
• Maintains equipment and ensures a clean, neat and orderly environment.
• Assists with data entry, email, and office tasks as needed.
