Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ensure staff compliance to standards of practice and to policy and procedure; provides training in areas of deficit.
  • Complete employee performance appraisals.
  • Perform annual competencies on employees and ensure paperwork meets HFAP requirements.
  • Create/maintain the work/vacation schedule for staff members.
  • Involved in the hiring process of new staff members
  • In charge of the orientation and education of staff and new employees.
  • Expected to do the maintenance of clinical equipment and education to staff of new equipment.
  • Constantly improve the communication process.
  • Function as clinical expert and role model for staff activities.
  • Participate with department and Hospital-wide Performance Improvement.
  • Expected to do intradepartmental relationship teambuilding.
  • Recognize the influence of beliefs and cultures on behaviors and accept strengths and limitations in others.
  • Expected to exhibit calm responsiveness to emergency or stressful situations.
  • Recognize situations which require notification of a supervisor.
  • Responsible for routine reports and correspondence.
  • Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Provide high quality patient care daily.
  • Address clinical issues when SLT is off site.
  • Assist with onboarding and new hire training.
  • Assist in addressing patient satisfaction issues as needed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Supervisor/Occupational Therapist to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Clinical Operations, this position provides appropriate and efficient evaluations, treatments, and associated services. In addition, this position coordinates special programs through the department and provides supervision to staff required to operate those programs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand and walk as well as occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. Using proper body mechanics, the employee may be expected to lift, pull, push or move patients and/or equipment. Fine motor skills are required when using hands and fingers to handle, feel or reach. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and ability to speak are necessary. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, sharp eye focus and ability to distinguish colors. There will be periods of stressful intense concentration with more than average pressure used in a variety of problem‑solving situations.
