Job summary

Jewish Family & Children's Service of Arizona is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist to deliver rehabilitation services for adults with serious mental illness, focusing on competitive employment and educational goals. The role emphasizes integrating employment into recovery and coordinating with an inter professional team.

You will manage a mixed caseload, coordinate resources, and educate participants on pathways to employment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral-health field preferred.
  • Two years of work experience in behavioral health, preferably with adults diagnosed with serious mental illness.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric rehabilitation best practices, particularly around employment.
  • Valid AZ Driver’s License.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Sound judgment and time management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages a flexible caseload, including a mix of employment-related rehabilitation and psychosocial rehabilitation.
  • Provides and tracks detailed information on all employment-related engagement and caseload.
  • Utilizes psychiatric rehabilitation best practices to assess participants’ needs and promote employment outcomes.
  • Educates and assists participants in identifying resources to obtain and maintain employment.
  • Provides limited coaching until job coaching is available via employment provider.
  • Screens and assesses participants for employment and psychosocial opportunities (MCAW, readiness assessment, vocational profile).
  • Collaborates with Clinical Manager to identify participants for employment and psychosocial caseloads.
  • Guides and trains Case Manager staff on referrals and coordination of services.
  • Mentors new Rehabilitation Specialist staff as needed.
  • Inquires about health and wellness needs and coordinates related services.
