Sheppard Pratt is seeking a Rehabilitation Specialist in Columbia, MD. This full-time in-person role involves providing direct care to individuals in crisis, helping clients develop skills for independent living, and ensuring medication safety and adherence.
You will work within a multidisciplinary team, coordinate transportation to appointments, and advocate for clients while documenting progress and follow-up actions. A driver’s license and willingness to work varied shifts are required.

Crisis Residential Program services provide short-term intensive, round-the-clock, personalized support to help stabilize someone having a mental health crisis so they can avoid hospitalization. Our teams collaborate with providers who are already involved in an individual’s treatment and works to link clients to other services offered by Sheppard Pratt or other community providers.

This is a direct care opportunity to provide support for mental health treatment. You will provide a safe and therapeutic environment that encourages the overall independence and wellbeing of your clients.
Under general supervision, your responsibilities will include:
As you spend time with your clients, you will find yourself developing a rapport with your clients where you become part of their trusted support system. You will see their wins as your wins as they work their way through the program and cheer them on as they progress in their recovery.
** All direct care staff will be thoroughly trained to provide all services and should expect supportive and ever-present mentorship from senior staff members as they perform the requested duties.
