Job summary

Methodist Rehabilitation Center in Jackson, MS seeks an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join a dedicated rehabilitation team. You will assess patients, implement customized plans, educate families, and document progress in the EMR.

Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork are essential for helping patients regain independence after stroke, spinal injuries, or orthopedic conditions. First shift, full-time with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in Mississippi.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient education abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and identify individual patient needs.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing interventions based on patient condition and rehabilitation goals.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care throughout the rehabilitation stay.
• Educate patients and their families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, self-care, and discharge planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
• Accurately document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in the electronic medical record.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate changes in condition to the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and nursing best practices.
• Promote a safe, healing environment that supports patient recovery and independence.
