Lehigh Valley Health Network is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to provide direct patient care in the Med/Surg unit, under supervision of licensed clinicians. You will assist with transfers, daily living activities, and therapy preparation, while maintaining effective communication with patients and the care team.
The role requires a HS diploma, BLS, and the ability to monitor basic vitals; flexibility for a day shift and commitment to patient safety are essential.

Provides direct patient care functions associated with the general maintenance of patients well being including obtaining items as requested by patients supervising licensed clinician, patients movements within their care environment and walking with appropriate patients under the direction of licensed care providers. Assist patients in preparing for therapy and therapeutic activities. Provides other support services, dictated by patient needs, as a care delivery team member. Utilizes effective and appropriate communication styles. Supports unit and hospital goals and objectives.
