Job summary

Universal Health Services in Nevada is seeking a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse for the Acute Rehab Unit at our new rehab hospital in Northwest Reno. You will provide safe, compassionate nursing care in a patient-centered environment, with a focus on rehabilitation after stroke, injury or other conditions.

Responsibilities include developing and implementing the plan of care, coordinating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring high-quality, evidence-based treatment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN or LPN/LVN program.
• Current Nevada nursing license.
• Current BLS certificate.
• One year full-time or three years part-time experience in an acute care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Involves patient and family psychosocial, spiritual, emotional, population-specific, and diversity needs in care assessment.
• Constructs and implements the plan of care using nursing knowledge and skill; integrates direct and indirect patient care activities related to diagnosis and co-morbidities.
• Coordinates the interdisciplinary plan of care for assigned patients; develops goals, treatment and discharge plans to meet patient/family needs.
