Job summary

Hebrew SeniorLife seeks an Exercise Therapist to develop and supervise exercise programs for residents in the Circle of Fitness and other restorative programs. You will design progression-based routines, teach proper technique, and monitor progress using the EMR and PCS systems.

This role requires clear communication, teamwork, and the ability to adapt plans for safety. Travel between HSL CLF sites in Roslindale and Dedham may be needed, with on-site duties and regular staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related health field such as Exercise Science or Allied Health.
• Excellent critical assessment skills.
• Proficient verbal, written and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Conducts physical performance evaluations and functional testing.
• Develops individualized exercise programs using progressive resistance training.
• Provides coaching in proper exercise technique for strength, endurance and functional benefit.
• Communicates with team and staff regarding medical or other changes noted during exercise sessions.
• Identifies contraindications and/or modifications to ensure safe programming.
• Leads or supports RUBEX group exercise classes.
• Travels between HSL CLF exercise programs in Roslindale and Dedham as needed.
• Attends monthly CLF staff meetings.
