Job summary

Lifepoint Rehabilitation Hospital in Coral Gables, FL, is seeking a Rehabilitation Coordinator to join our team. You will perform comprehensive patient evaluations and treatments, supervise rehab staff, and ensure accurate documentation to support high-quality care.

You will oversee risk management within the Rehab department, lead in-service trainings, and help optimize resource use and billing practices while advancing patient outcomes and staff development.

Qualifications

• Degree in rehabilitation, healthcare or a related field required
• 1-3 years experience in rehabilitation or in a long-term care setting preferred
• MUST HAVE valid and current Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapist license in Florida
• Current CPR certification

Responsibilities

• Performs accurate, comprehensive patient evaluations and treatments
• Provides training, direction and guidance for subordinate rehab staff
• Writes accurate, complete and clear documentation
• Ensures the timely evaluation and treatment of patients in the most effective and efficient manner possible
• Oversees risk management operations for the Rehab department in the facility
• Conducts in-service programs and trains Rehab/facility staff
• Demonstrates appropriate utilization of resources including billing accurately for services provided
• Performs other tasks as assigned
