Job summary

Orthopedic ONE is seeking a part-time Therapy Services Assistant to support patient care and treatment setup under the supervision of therapists. You will assist with patient movement, help maintain treatment areas, and ensure efficient patient flow.

Responsibilities include keeping equipment clean, stocking supplies and linens, performing clerical tasks for directors and therapists, and upholding infection control and safety policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's in Exercise Science/Physiology preferred.
• Prior experience in a medical office setting desired.
• Customer service experience and basic computer skills required.

POSITION SUMMARY

• Responsible for assisting the Therapy Services staff with patient care and treatment set-up.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Patient Care:
  • Assists in patient movement/transport around the clinic while under the supervision of the therapist. Will participate in a patient transfer when accompanied and supervised by a clinician.
  • Facilitates patient flow by setting up treatments as instructed by therapists.
• Clinical Support:
  • Maintains patient care equipment and examination/treatment areas following guidelines for cleanliness, infection control and safety procedures
  • Takes inventory of supplies and stocks supplies, equipment and linens. Alerts Director to purchasing and equipment repair needs.
  • Provides clerical support or other support to Director and physical therapists as required.
  • Responsible for maintaining clean linen stock.

  • Actively participates in training, and conducting day to day work activity by adhering to all policies and procedures as enumerated in compliance and risk management programs.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education, Experience, Certification and Licensure Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor degree in Exercise Science or Exercise Physiology preferred. Prior experience in a medical office setting desired. Customer service experience and basic computer skills required.
