Job summary

Encompass Health Corporation is hiring a Rehabilitation Therapy Technician I to support therapists and deliver high-quality patient care. You will set up equipment, maintain a safe environment, and collaborate with nurses and therapists to ensure smooth daily operations.

Starting in a patient-focused role, you’ll assist with therapy activities, communicate effectively with patients and families, and help maintain safety and adherence to care plans. A degree of on-the-job training is expected.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred (unless hospital policy requires otherwise).
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Has completed elements required for clinical ladder Rehab Tech I or equivalent training in school or on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Support therapists' daily patient care and therapy activities.
• Facilitate effective communication with patients, families, and caregivers.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and deliver patient-centered treatment.
• Prepare and transport patients according to the patient schedule.
• Communicate to therapists on outcomes/observations of patient care activities.
