Job summary

Franklin County Medical Center in southeast Idaho is seeking a part-time Rehabilitation Technician to support our Physical Therapy team. You will assist therapists, prepare treatment areas, position patients, and help maintain a safe, efficient clinical environment.

This role emphasizes teamwork, clear communication, and reliability. Requirements include a high school diploma, completion of Rehabilitation Technician Training, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Successful completion of Rehabilitation Technician Training and Competency Program.
• Prior healthcare experience or current Therapy student preferred.
• Good communication skill both written and oral in English.
• Basic mathematical skills to accurately add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in order to work cooperatively with team members and patients/clients.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Preparing treatment areas and transporting and positioning patients/clients.
• Assisting with the completion of therapy treatment plans.
• Communicating with patients, families, friends, and members of the healthcare team to promote optimal benefits of rehabilitative care.
• Ensuring that needed supplies are available to Therapists and Therapist Assistants.
• Performing routine clerical tasks that support the patient care process.
• Actively participating in ways to improve the program, including providing input into the budgetary planning process, contributing to the cost-effectiveness of services, and establishing and maintaining positive relations with all clients.

Hours: Part time, Two days a week(8-10 hours per day)

WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR FCMC:

• Our Rehabilitation Technicians assist the Rehabilitation Therapists and Therapist Assistants in performing rehabilitative services for our patients. More specifically, some of these vital responsibilities include:

Essential Job Functions:

• Regular and predictable attendance is required
• Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hand and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or twist
• Frequently able to move, push, pull, or lift up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision
• Must comply with HIPAA and patient privacy
• Must wear PPE as situations require

Work Environment:

• FCMC operates 24 hours per day each day of the year: operational needs of departments may require that you be available to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays to meet the needs of the patients
• Potential exposure to blood, body tissue, fluids, contagious diseases, and hazardous waste
• Occasional exposure to bodily injury, loud or unpleasant noise, unpleasant odor, and emotional or physical stress
