Job summary

Johnson County Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a qualified aide to join the rehabilitation team. Under supervision, you will perform delegated functions, providing multi-skilled services to support patient care and department operations.

The ideal candidate will have BLS certification, inpatient rehab exposure, and excellent communication and organizational abilities to meet tight timelines and ensure quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS certification from AHA/ARC required.
• Inpatient rehabilitation experience preferred.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of Medical Terminology.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated rehab services as part of the rehabilitation team.
• Assist with patient mobility, activities of daily living, and therapeutic tasks as directed.
• Document and communicate patient progress per department policies.

Position Summary

Under the supervision of a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Physical Therapy Assistant or Occupational Therapy Assistant performs delegated functions as a member of the rehabilitation team by providing multi-skilled services. This role contributes to the successful operation of the work area, and functions in accordance with all existing regulatory and company standards, policies and procedures.

Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.

Desired Experience

• Inpatient rehabilitation experience
