• Performs routine clerical duties: filing notes, orders, and exercise programs.
• Attends departmental inservice programs to advance skills.

Responsibilities

• 1.Demonstrates competence in physical and occupational therapy modalities and procedures in accordance with policies as outlined in department manuals.
  • 1.1Demonstrates competence with use of equipment in department appropriate for aide application.
• 2.Demonstrates responsibility for ordering, stocking, and maintaining supplies for outpatient department.
  • 2.1Stocks linen neatly in cabinets throughout the department.
• 3.Assists in, and/or prepares set up for treatments such as whirlpool, hot packs, cold packs, exercise, fluidotherapy, paraffin, ultrasound, electrical stimulation.
  • 3.1Greets patients and assists with dressing/ undressing as needed; assists on and off equipment as directed by therapist. Always greets/ treats patients in courteous and respectful manner.
• 4.Maintains treatment areas in clean and orderly condition.
  • 4.1Removes and replaces used linen promptly.
• 5.Works as a team member.
  • 5.1Demonstrates willingness and ability to assist others as requested.
• 6.Knows how to coordinate work. Works in an organized and efficient manner.
  • 6.1Responds appropriately to changes in the work schedule
• 7.Carries out routine clerical and receptionist duties as requested or assigned.
  • 7.1Files progress notes, physician orders and correspondence, exercise programs in correct order in active charts.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in health setting, physical therapy preferred.

LICENSURE

CPR preferred.
