Job summary

Delray Medical Center, part of the Tenet Healthcare family, is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician to assist RNs, LPNs and therapists in delivering patient-centered care. You will help prepare supplies, set up treatment areas and support routine therapy sessions to achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Enrolled in PT/PTA/OT/COTA program or CNA licensed in FL.
• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license in current/active status.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN, LPN, licensed therapist and/or assistant in providing patient care activities.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to promote high-quality, cost-efficient health care.
• Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment for therapeutic use; carry out routine treatment tasks.

Job Summary

Full Time, Days The Rehabilitation Technician is a skilled technical worker who assists the licensed practitioner, RN or therapist, in performing patient related activities in order to produce effective outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing and maintaining supplies and equipment for therapeutic use. Carrying out, at the direction of the licensed practitioner, specific routine aspects of treatment preparation, delivery, or clean up that do not require the clinical skill of the practitioner to perform. Participates in performance improvement and program growth including data entry.

Qualifications

EDUCATION

• High School graduate or equivalent, having either:
• Enrolled in a local PT, PTA, OT, COTA or ST program or
• A Certified Nursing Assistant licensed in the state of Florida

EXPERIENCE

• Prior clinical experience is desired, but not required.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE/REGISTRATION

• Florida Certified Nursing Assistant license in current/active status (if qualification applicable to meet the education requirement above.)
• Current AHA BLS certification card
