Illinois Bone and Joint Institute, LLC (IBJI) has a full-time Rehabilitation Technician opening at the Convent Drive location. The role supports clinicians in delivering quality orthopedic care and helping patients improve function.

The candidate should have a high school diploma, be able to work 40 hours weekly (Mon–Fri), and demonstrate strong communication, professionalism, and a positive attitude in a busy rehab setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast paced orthopedic rehab office.
• Daily clinic maintenance: cleaning treatment tables, changing linen, stocking supplies.
• Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and safe for patients.
• Assist clinicians with patient care and exercise programs under clinician direction.
• Print home exercise programs for patients under clinician direction.
• Inventory of clinical and non-clinical materials.
• Support front desk duties: check-in patients, schedule appointments, take co-pays, scan documents, answer phones.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient identity.
• Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility with work hours.

Job Description

IBJI, Chicagoland's premier orthopedic medical practice with several Chicago and suburban locations has a Full‑Time Rehabilitation Technician opening at our Convent Drive location. The Rehabilitation Technician role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain experience in an orthopedic physical therapy setting.

Rehabilitation Technicians are responsible for assisting clinicians in delivering quality care with the goal of improving a patient's overall quality of life and function.

1. Provide excellent customer service and communication to therapy patients, therapists, physician staff, and clients in a fast paced orthopedic rehab office.
2. Daily clinic maintenance: including but not limited to cleaning treatment tables and equipment, change out linen, stocking supplies.
3. Keep exercise equipment in an orderly fashion and out of the way of patients to maintain safe conditions in the clinic.
4. Daily, weekly and monthly checks of maintenance tasks to stay compliant with IBJI guidelines.
5. 5. Act as an extender to the therapists; assist clinicians with carrying out exercise programs for patients including set up on equipment and modalities.
6. Communicate with therapist on any observations made during the patient's exercise program.
7. Take initiative in assisting clinicians with patient care.
8. Print home exercise program for patients under the direction of the clinician.
9. Inventory of both clinical and non-clinical materials.
10. For clinics that utilize techs for front desk support, follow best practice procedures that involve clerical duties: including but not limited to checking in patients, scheduling appointments, taking co-pays, scanning, answering the phone.
11. Provide daily support to the rehab staff and management team.
12. Follows HIPAA guidelines by protecting the patient's identity.
13. Ability to work with patients regardless of diagnosis, age, or background.
14. Maintain a positive attitude in clinic.
15. Demonstrates professionalism with prompt work attendance and flexibility with established work hours.
16. All other duties as assigned.
