Job summary

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of Abilene is seeking a qualified Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team. You will provide direct patient care under the supervision of an RN and support rehabilitation services to promote recovery and quality outcomes.

Ideal candidates have an active Texas LPN license, current BLS certification, and prior rehab/med-surg/acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Texas (or currently licensed in Texas)
• Current BLS certification required
• Prior rehabilitation, med/surg, or acute care experience preferred
• Strong clinical and communication skills are essential
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centered environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient progress
• Assist with daily living activities as needed
• Communicate patient status and changes to the RN and care team
• Support care planning and implementation under RN supervision
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in patient records
