California Public Utilities Commission in Sacramento is seeking a Public Utilities Regulatory Analyst (PURA) at the III level. Under the general direction of the Program and Project Supervisor, you will assist senior staff on electric utility financing proceedings, general rate cases, and related costs and compliance matters.

This is a permanent, full-time, hybrid position with the Energy Division’s Electric Costs and Retail Choice Branch.

Responsibilities

• Assist more senior level staff on electric utility financing proceedings, general rate cases, and other matters related to utility costs and compliance.
• Coordinate smaller proceedings and take increasing responsibility for discrete subject matters.
• Contribute to written reports, qualitative and quantitative analyses, and review of proposed legislation.
