Job summary

W. S. Badger seeks a Regulatory Manager to drive and enable innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance, product integrity, and brand trust across development stages. You will oversee ingredient compliance, responsible sourcing, regulatory strategy, and risk assessment through the product life cycle.

You will lead the RDI Coordinator and collaborate with the RDI Director to ensure documentation accuracy, audit readiness, and timely regulatory submissions for a broad cosmetic portfolio.

Qualifications

• Degree in chemistry, cosmetic science or related field with regulatory and project management experience
• 5+ years in product development, quality control, or regulatory in cosmetic/pharma
• Strong expertise in ingredient compliance and regulatory safety assessments
• 3+ years in ingredient research, evaluation, and supplier engagement
• 3+ years in project management, preferably with software tools
• Excellent written and cross-functional communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Lead regulatory strategy for new ingredients, formulations and technologies across the full innovation cycle
• Monitor emerging regulations and industry standards; define remediation strategies and drive cross-functional execution
• Oversee regulatory compliance for ingredients, formulas, packaging, and finished products
• Approve ingredient submissions and engage with regulators as needed
• Oversee scale-up documentation and tech transfer to ensure quality
• Review labels and packaging for regulatory accuracy
• Design testing strategies to support compliance and claims validation
• Collaborate with external consultants on regulatory matters
• Prepare and maintain regulatory documentation and supplier substantiation
• Manage RDI communications and project milestones with the team
• Attend PM meetings and communicate RDI updates
