Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) registration preferred or required.
• EIT credential acceptable as alternative.
• Foreign education evaluated as equivalent may be used.
• Multiple degrees; provide transcripts for each degree.

Responsibilities

• Review complex materials engineering issues to evaluate NRC regulatory compliance.
• Provide technical assistance to NRC management and staff; communicate with stakeholders.
• Prepare safety evaluation reports for design certification, combined licenses, construction permits, and operating licenses.

Education

Engineer-in-Training (EIT) credential

ABET-accredited engineering program
