Job summary

The Revenue & Regulatory Law (R&R) section of the Colorado Department of Law seeks an Assistant Attorney General to counsel professional licensing clients and handle licensing litigation. This role focuses on advisory and litigation work across boards and licensure offices within DPO.

You will join a team of attorneys, paralegals, and support staff in a commitment to public service, diversity, and protecting Coloradans through regulation and enforcement of professional standards.

Qualifications

• Admitted to the Colorado Bar or eligible to waive into the Colorado Bar.
• Experience in litigation, negotiations, and trials independently and effectively.
• Excellent writing skills and client communication.
• Ability to manage a significant caseload with paralegals.
• Commitment to public service and DEI.

Responsibilities

• Represent clients in litigation, negotiations, hearings, and appeals.
• Provide general counsel to licensing boards and programs.
• Attend board meetings as general counsel.
• Advise clients on litigation and general legal issues.
• Train other Department of Law attorneys and staff.
