Job summary

SunOpta is offering a 12-week internship at our Corporate Office in Eden Prairie, MN, to apply classroom knowledge to regulatory affairs. You will work alongside professionals on labeling, claims review, and regulatory compliance projects, gaining cross-functional collaboration experience.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, or Regulatory Affairs, with graduate students welcome.

Qualifications

• Candidates working towards a bachelor's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, Public Health, or a related field.
• Candidates must be at least a junior in college and actively pursuing a degree.
• Graduate students will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Complete key projects assessing regulatory framework of pending legislation and impacts to products manufactured by SunOpta.
• Assist with daily regulatory operations, including claims review, label checks, and document drafting.
• Research regulatory trends and requirements for new claims.
• Support R&D and cross-functional partners by providing regulatory insights into formulation, claims substantiation, and labeling.
