Job summary

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is seeking an Investigator II for the Office of Inspections and Investigations. This position is recruited under Title 21 Pay Table 1, Band A (GS-11 equivalent). The role involves inspections of FDA-regulated industries, evaluating compliance with U.S.

laws, and reporting findings to support public health protections. Qualified candidates will have a relevant degree and experience in inspections/compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; degree fields include QA/management, data science, statistics, epidemiology, public health, engineering or related health/science field.
• Degrees from accredited programs; transcripts required to meet basic qualifications.
• Two years of experience with FDA or FDA-regulated industry if using a Bachelor's degree; or one year with a Master's; or zero extra years for Doctorate.

Responsibilities

• Inspect FDA-regulated facilities to ensure compliance with FD&C Act and related regulations.
• Collect samples, prepare and submit reports with supporting evidence.
• Mentor less experienced personnel and communicate with stakeholders.
