Job summary

OnLogic in South Burlington, VT, is seeking a Regulatory Engineer to ensure customer applications and hardware meet regulatory standards for industrial, medical, and IT equipment. You will coordinate safety, EMC, and RF testing with labs, guide PCB-level EMC mitigation, and drive compliance programs across global markets.

This onsite role requires relocation or commuting to the South Burlington office, with collaboration across sales and engineering to achieve regulatory goals and timely

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or related field or technical training in RF and EMC compliance.
• Experience in EMC design at the PCB level and an expert in EMC mitigation.
• Minimum of 5 years of regulatory engineering experience. Experience in product safety, and EMC (including CE, FCC, CB, and UL for ITE, Industrial, and medical applications).
• Experience with Google tools preferred.
• Experience with using root cause analysis to identify process improvement opportunities.
• Ability to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship, now and in the future.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating product safety, EMC, and RF testing with nationally-recognized testing laboratories such as UL, Intertek, and TUV for requesting quotes, developing test plans, and obtaining product safety certifications.
• Performing product evaluations and testing to applicable product safety standards for IT Equipment (ITE) and Medical Equipment (UL/IEC 62368-1, UL/IEC 61010, UL/IEC 60950-1, IEC/UL 60601-1).
• Preparing samples and conducting product safety testing according to UL/IEC 62368-1, UL/IEC 61010, UL/IEC 60950-1, and IEC/UL 60601-1.
• Preparing samples and conducting tests to EMC requirements for ITE, Medical, Railway, and Maritime equipment including FCC, ICES, EN 55032, EN 55035, IEC 60601-1, EN 50121.
• Providing the design team with guidance on best practices for EMC defensive design at the PCB level, and utilizing EMC mitigation skills.
• Preparing and conducting shock and vibration tests according to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461G, IEC 60068-2-64, IEC 60068-2-27.
• Preparing samples and conducting testing for wireless compliance according to FCC and EU RED directives.
• Basic understanding of global market access to countries such as China, India, Taiwan, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, UK, etc.
• Keeping current with frequently-changing compliance standards and planning for future compliance strategies.
• Creating, implementing, and maintaining tools to automate the compliance process and data management tasks.
• Working with a cross-functional team to meet customer and OnLogic's regulatory goals in a timely manner.
• Tracking and improving the regulatory team's KPI and driving process improvements.
• Maintaining CE technical files for self declarations.
• Coordinating product labeling and manual requirements.

Job description

As a member of the Regulatory Engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring customer applications and hardware developments meet the regulatory standards of industrial, medical, and computer equipment. Successful candidates will have experience in some or all of these fields and will be able to orchestrate test plans, explain requirements to customers in engaging and helpful ways, problem solve non-compliance issues, and excel at collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary team. In this role, you\'ll be responsible for:

• Coordinating product safety, Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), and Radio Frequency (RF) testing with nationally-recognized testing laboratories such as UL, Intertek, and TUV for requesting quotes, developing test plans, and obtaining product safety certifications.
• Performing product evaluations and testing to applicable product safety standards for Information Technology Equipment (ITE) and Medical Equipment, such as UL/IEC 62368-1, UL/IEC 61010, UL/IEC 60950-1, and IEC/UL 60601-1.
• Preparing samples and conducting product safety testing according to UL/IEC 62368-1, UL/IEC 61010, UL/IEC 60950-1, and IEC/UL 60601-1.
• Preparing samples and conducting tests to the applicable EMC requirements for ITE, Medical, Railway, and Maritime equipment iIncluding FCC, ICES, EN 55032, EN 55035, IEC 60601-1, EN 50121.
• Providing the design team with guidance on best practices for EMC defensive design at the PCB level, and utilizing your EMC mitigation skills.
• Preparing and conducting shock and vibration tests according to MIL-STD-810G, MIL-STD-461G, IEC 60068-2-64, and IEC 60068-2-27.

• Creating, implementing, and maintaining tools to automate the compliance process and data management tasks.
• Working with a cross-functional team to meet the customer and OnLogic\'s regulatory goals in a timely manner.
• Tracking and improving the regulatory teams\' key performance indicators and driving process improvements.
• Maintaining CE technical files for self declarations.

Benefits

The salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000. We determine final compensation based on discussions with applicants and their experience in similar roles.
