Job summary

TriStar Summit Medical Center is seeking a Regulatory Compliance Nurse Coordinator to design and implement systems ensuring ongoing regulatory and accreditation compliance. You will organize internal audits, track issues, and coordinate surveys with major accrediting bodies.

The role requires RN licensure in TN or a compact state, BLS, and at least 3 years of clinical experience, with BSN preferred and CP HQ certification desired.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
• Current RN licensure in TN or compact state.
• BLS required.
• 3 years of clinical experience in healthcare.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement systems to ensure regulatory, licensure and accreditation compliance.
• Organize internal audits and measure survey readiness (mock surveys, tracer activities).
• Coordinate surveys with The Joint Commission, CMS, FDA, and other bodies.
• Educate staff on regulatory requirements and changes, and review policies for compliance.

Job Summary And Qualifications

The Regulatory Compliance Nurse Coordinator is accountable for designing and implementing systems to ensure a state of continual regulatory, licensure and accreditation compliance.

What you will do in this role:

• Organize, schedule, and conduct internal audit processes to measure survey readiness (mock surveys, tracer activities, etc.).
• Track and trend regulatory compliance issues.
• Prepare quarterly leadership report regarding regulatory compliance.
• Assure measurement of all required PPR elements.
• Coordinate PPR completion and submission.
• Coordinate QRS Survey.
• Coordinate all on site regulatory, licensure, and accreditation surveys including but not limited to The Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons, State Department of Health, CMS, CAP/AABB, Radiology (i.e. mammography), Pharmacy, OSHA, FDA, and Disease certification.
• Identify resources to correct deviations from regulation.
• Oversee survey response and action plan compliance (i.e. measures of success).
• Control all regulatory, licensure, and accreditation documents.
• Monitor and act on rule/regulation/standard changes.
• Educate hospital staff, medical staff, and leadership regarding regulatory requirements/changes.
• Provide input on service or process design to assure regulatory compliance.
• Provide direction to policy/procedure review/revision to assure regulatory compliance.
• Conduct annual State and CMS regulatory compliance assessment.
• Facilitate functional groups to ensure regulatory compliance and improvement activities.

What qualifications you will need:

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
• American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS required.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and survey readiness required.
• 3 years of clinical experience required.
• Healthcare management experience preferred.
• CPHQ certification preferred.
