Job summary

Targa Resources is seeking an experienced Regulatory Affairs Staff Specialist to manage regulatory permitting, compliance, reporting, and agency relations for AGI wells and related infrastructure. The role liaises with state agencies including RRC, OCD, LDNR, and MSOGB and supports MRV and carbon management initiatives.

Reporting to the ES&H Team, this position requires coordinating with Operations, Engineering, Land/ROW, Legal, and other teams to ensure regulatory readiness and lifecycle

Qualifications

• Eight+ years of oil/gas regulatory affairs experience.
• Experience with Class II injection wells and related programs.
• Direct work with Texas RRC and NM OCD preferred.
• Can prepare and manage regulatory permit applications and compliance programs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, submit, and manage permits and regulatory filings for AGI wells and related facilities.
• Develop permitting strategies and secure regulatory approvals for drilling and workovers.
• Coordinate reviews with Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Land/ROW teams.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and track permit conditions and reporting deadlines.
• Maintain auditable regulatory files, MRV plans, and documentation.
• Represent the company in agency meetings, inspections, and compliance discussions.
• Monitor regulatory developments and advise stakeholders of impacts.
