Position Overview

We’re seeking a detail-driven Regulatory Affairs Associate to support the Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs Director in maintaining compliance across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. This role plays a critical part in evaluating ingredients, ensuring regulatory conformity, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting product launches. You’ll collaborate with teams across R&D, Quality, Production, Sales & Marketing, and Agriculture to ensure regulatory accuracy, clarity, and readiness.

Key Responsibilities

• Track, monitor, and communicate current and emerging regulations affecting food, beverage, and pet food products.
• Independently research regulatory requirements across FDA, USDA, and Canadian/Mexican regulatory bodies.
• Conduct regulatory assessments for new ingredients and new product launches.
• Create, update, and maintain regulatory statements and documentation.
• Prepare timely and accurate responses to customer inquiries regarding specifications, allergens, labeling, nutrition, claims, GMO, Organic status, and other certifications.
• Review and approve finished product specifications, labels, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for compliance.
• Support Quality in approving new suppliers.
• Advise R&D, QA, Production, Sales, Marketing, and Agriculture teams on regulatory requirements.
• Provide training to internal teams on regulatory topics and updates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Regulatory Affairs, or a related scientific field is required.
• 2–3 years of regulatory compliance experience within the food industry.
• Strong understanding of ingredient compliance, claims, labeling, and product regulatory pathways.
• Solid knowledge of FDA food regulations.
