You will greet patients, collect demographics and insurance details, verify identities, and process check-ins with accuracy and courtesy. The role involves handling patient estimates, collecting copays, supporting physicians and departments, answering phones, and maintaining patient confidentiality in line with HIPAA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year experience in customer service preferred.
• Knowledge of Patient Rights, HIPAA and Medicare Secondary Payer guidelines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Register patients with demographic and insurance details, obtain signatures on documents.
• Perform check-in and admission tasks, verify patient identity.
• Discuss financial aspects, provide patient estimates, and collect copays and balances.
• Assist patients with required documentation and database entry by service area.
• Schedule follow-up appointments and provide necessary handouts.
• Validate real-time insurance eligibility and assist with department duties as needed.
