Registered Veterinary Technician (Rotating Shift) – Monte Vista Small Animal Hospital

We are seeking a Registered Veterinary Technician to join our team. The role supports hospital operations by providing high‑quality veterinary care and exceptional service to patients and clients.

Position Overview

Responsibilities include:

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans, completing laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging.
• Provide patient care by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications and vaccines, and bandaging wounds.
• Assist during examinations and operations by assembling supplies, securing and transporting patients, and restraining patients as directed.
• Apply knowledge of anatomy, physiology, disease processes, pharmacology, and specialized equipment usage.
• Obtain and verify medications; maintain safety, sanitation, and proper storage of supplies and equipment.
• Maintain patient medical records and update the database accurately and timely.
• Communicate patient status to owners as directed by the veterinarian.
• Manage inventory and place orders for necessary supplies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by manager or practice.
