Qualifications

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 3 years of veterinary medicine experience.
• Proficient in surgical preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and patient recovery.
• Skilled in intubation/extubation, IV catheter placement, blood collection, and other technical veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications and vaccines, and wound care.
• Assist with surgeries and examinations by preparing supplies and restraining patients as directed by the veterinarian.
• Maintain accurate medical records documenting conditions, treatments, and changes.
• Communicate with pet owners about patient status as directed by the veterinarian.
