Job summary

Riverside Drive Animal Care Center in Dublin, OH, seeks a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join as a live-in, on-site team member.

This unique part-time role covers about 10 hours per week with night, weekend, and holiday availability; a full-time option is available if preferred. The on-site apartment is paid for, and the candidate will support patient care, history taking, and hospital operations.

Qualifications

• RVT licensure or pending licensure; experienced veterinary assistants and DVM/RVT students are encouraged to apply.
• 1–2 years of clinical veterinary experience preferred.
• Great communication and customer service skills.
• Team player with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities

• Obtain patient history and vital signs.
• Provide hospitalized patient care (walks, feeding, bedding changes, medication administration, monitoring IV fluid therapy).
• Stock hospital supplies and maintain hospital cleanliness.
• Ensure the hospital is locked and the alarm is set nightly.
• Responsible for nightly and weekend treatments; eight weekends off per year; holiday availability is required.

Our practice has served as a full-service veterinary medical facility for cats and dogs for more than 25 years.In addition to our core offerings, we provide advanced services such as laparoscopic procedures, acupuncture, stem cell therapy, endoscopy, and specialized geriatric care to support the long-term health and comfort of our patients.

Riverside Drive Animal Care Center is looking for a Registered Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join the team as a live-in, onsite team member! This is a unique position where the candidate will live in an apartment on site--rent and utilities are PAID for this role.

Basic Veterinary Assistant (or RVT) tenant duties include:

• Obtain patient history/vitals
• Hospitalized patient care (walks, feedings, bedding changes, medication administration, monitoring iv fluid therapy)
• Stock hospital supplies and overall hospital cleanliness
• Ensuring the hospital is locked and alarm is set nightly
• Responsible for nightly and weekend treatments, with 8 weekends off a year, holiday availability is a MUST

Experience & Skill Requirements:

• Veterinary technician (RVT) licensure or pending licensure, experienced veterinary assistants, DVM or RVT students encouraged to apply.
• 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience with an hourly pay rate starting at $15-25 hour. The actual rate offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
