Annapolis Cat Practice/ Bay Ridge Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Registered Veterinary Technician to provide skilled care to our patients and exceptional service to our clients.

The ideal candidate will have Maryland RVT certification, experience in animal care, and strong client communication skills, with proficiency in labs, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement. This role includes a comprehensive benefits package and pet-friendly perks.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate care instructions and updates to clients.
• Perform lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with dispensing medications.
• Keep exam rooms and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital safety and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Job description

Salary: $22-$27 per hour, based on the candidate's skills, experience, and qualifications.

Schedule: This is a full-time position with three to four 10-hour shifts per weekday and rotating Saturday mornings. Two early shifts (8:00 AM–6:00 PM) and two late shifts (10:00 AM–8:00 PM). Occasional shifts from 8 am to 8 pm.

Qualifications:

• Must hold a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) certification in Maryland.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.
