BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an experienced Relief Veterinary Technician to join our busy Emergency and Critical Care team. This role focuses on anesthesia induction, monitoring, and emergency patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.

You will triage cases, monitor vitals, perform radiography, and support clinicians with procedures such as phlebotomy and IV catheter placement. Mentoring newer staff is encouraged within our team.

Qualifikationen

• Experienced in emergency/critical care veterinary settings.
• Proficient in anesthesia induction, monitoring and recovery.
• Ability to interpret patient vitals and respond to changes.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Relief Veterinary Technicians to work in our busy Emergency and Critical Care department at our Lee's Summit, MO location.

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, the role of Veterinary Technician is an exciting, fast-paced opportunity that will allow you to utilize the skills that you have worked so hard to gain. As An Emergency Veterinary Technician, You Will

• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia in patients and use anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital including obtaining vitals such as temperature heart rate, respiratory rate and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography using proper technique including proper positioning of patients.
• Have a complete understanding of normal ranges of patient vital signs, including but not limited to heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure and oxygen saturation.
• Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs and alert Veterinarian to changes and issues.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration.
• Are proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters in all peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
• Have patience and empathy to address client concerns.
